love this song. i think it's about wanting to move on from a bad relationship. he can see all the possibilities that are out there and the girl is obviously over it. but he can't stop thinking about her. "i'm almost pefect/some of the time/i'm also sinking/some of the time." sometimes he's almost enough, the rest of the time he's never enough. "i'm always sinking/beneath the sand/you're holding nothing in your hand." he's failing and she's not doing anything to save him. beautiful song. so sad. |

| listen to the clouds album version and then the dreamland album version back to back... it's amazing. the clouds version is so young and hopeful, while the dreamland version sounds sad. on clouds, she's a young girl who doesn't really know about life and love, but she'll probably figure it out. on dreamland, she's older, but realizing that she's not any wiser. her voice is just beautiful. | |

| i agree that this song is about a breakup, but for me it will always remind me of leaving barcelona. i discovered this song my last few days in bcn after spending an amazing summer there in an apartment with 5 awesome roommates. the song just completely captivated me, and i listened to it on repeat as i packed my bags, said my goodbyes, and for most of my long flight back to the states. it just seemed so fitting at the time, not wanting to leave something so perfect with someone so perfect, but knowing you have to move on. i especially love the lines "remember we used to dance/and everyone wanted to be/ you and me", it just reminds me of going out and dancing and having the best time with my friends. such a beautiful song. | |

my favorite song off the new album -- especially since i did pack my bags and catch a plane to barcelona for three weeks. i love the entire song, it just reminds me of being so down and over something that you just want to get as far away as you possibly can and start over |
