No it wasnt nailed...to anything. You may put whatever names instead - God vs Satan, Hitler vs Jews and blah blah blah. This is a song about a person who had stepped one more step over the line past which there is no return. Apparently there are regrets about taking that step. The person is trying to find the strength within to go on and stay the chosen course. |

The whole mood of the song is a response to empty statements like - God LOVEs you (the way christians like to put it). Here is a wake up call for you - that same God is also a god of pain and tears, a wholesome being capable of multitude of things, not limited by mortal selfrighteous morality. A god of words - yes, god LOVES you ... but then you are afflicted with pestilence and that love does Nothing for you - you are decaying just the same. Embracing just one side of love as shield against all evil, is I think what this song is pointing at and calls to acknowledge that there are painful and difficult aspects that that devine love brings. The hallow bonds are morality... simply put morality is what causes one person to be torn apart from within, kneeling and burning their will/thoughts to try to be one-sided...the side which humans would tell you is the "good" side. God is great! |

This is such a Hopefull song. I see him standing with his eyes closed and really focusing on what is going on inside him - hence the lines that you cant see/touch anything. The thunder that he is hearing is not a dangerous thing that one thinks hearing the word - it is a beacon, a mark... quite possibly radiating from his heart - Love! Arriving at the beacon he is filled with loving and feels all the wonders. Now I can not say if it is love for a woman/man or love for God. I guess it could be both at the same time... The ways of the person he loves will ultimately guide her in his direction - fate - his own path leads him to her as well. True salvation is finding true love - from God or a human alike, since love is the same substance everywhere. Peace and hope permiates the sounds and lyrics of this song. I did break a single tear - a tear of joy and hope, not sadness or bitterness. Ronnan, I love you man. |

I heard this song a while back, but I never got a chance to really listen to it. And now going through my old CDs I came by this song...and voila! I love it - time changes tastes eh? Fantastic song, guitar (god I love it) and drums and the Voice!! |
