This song isn't about shooting up, whatsoever. My take on this song is that it's about a tattoo. She got a tattoo of a guy's name on her hand when she was younger and thought she was in love. Then she got it covered up with a butterfly.. "Your name ended up on my hand." "When the needle went to hit the flesh I could feel the pain less and less No more you I got my cover up" "Now I have replaced your name So your memory will fade away This butterfly set me free" it makes a lot of sense to me, at least. |

I absolutely adore this song. When I first got this CD I was just going through the songs and bit and I just happened to hear a bit of these lyrics and immediately restarted and listened to it cause it was identical to my exact situation. It's about realizing your relationship is going downhill and wanting nothing more than to have what you had at the beginning and wondering if there is any way to save it. "Sometimes I wish we could just pretend, Even if only for one weekend." when your relationship gets to that point, it's almost like you forget how to have fun with each other cause there are so many other contributing factors. she just wants to forget about everything else and just get back what they had. |

I adore this song. I agree with Acobb. It's about a girl he loved who got into a car crash. "Whoa, nothing slows down nothing ever turns around" this refers to how she should've slowed down, or turned around. but she didn't. and now all the aftermath isn't gonna slow down either. "If I could have just one wish come true I'd wish you here with me - or that I coulda been there with you" this bit is saying that he wishes she stayed with him instead of driving, or that he had been in that car with her that day. either way, they'd be together. |

this is exactly like the situation I'm in right now. it's about being in a very confusing stage of a relationship. someone said something about the one year mark, which I definitely agree with. it's about getting past the beginning of a relationship, and wanting to be assured the next part of the relationship will go as smoothly. "Stay up till 4 in the morning, and the tears are pouring And I wanna make it worth the fight" "All I know is, you've got to give me everything Nothing else cause, you know I give you all of me" she's worried that she's putting more into the relationship and taking the relationship more seriously than him. they fight about and get angry with each other at night. "Waking up to find another day The moon got lost again last night But now the sun has finally had its say I guess I feel alright But it hurts when I think, when I let it sink in It's all over me I know you're here in the dark Watching you sleep, it hurts alot" in the morning, everything is okay again after sleeping and forgetting it all. but, it comes back after a while and still hurts her. |

I saw the song to be a bit more like a story. In the beginning, Annie and the speaker are together. She's depressed. They get in a fight and he leaves. But even after he leaves he's still making sure she's okay and wants her to be safe. "Looking through the paper today, looking for a specific page. I don't want to find her full name followed by dates." If they were together the entire time, he wouldn't have to look through the paper to make sure she's okay. I like the second half of the song a lot where it goes back and forth from the "Annie says" verses and the chorus. It's kind of like a conversation. Annie is listing off all her problems and all he can say is "things will get better" because he really can't say anything more. At the end of the song, he realizes he wants to really be there for her, which is that last part of the song. Finally after explaining for the umpteenth time that things will get better with time, he says that he'll always be there for her reguardless of her problems and he'll be the one who "makes it clear she doesn't need to solve them." I don't think he exactly saved her at the end, it doesn't really give an answer to if she died or not.. but what it does answer is that they're together and he is going to be there for her. |

| This is my favorite song off Power of Moonlite. I think this song really sums up the entire album. The CD is full of references to seasons representing life and unhappiness. I think you get a really good feel of the album just by listening to this song. I know alot of people might not think its the best off the album, but I'd definetly suggest this song to anyone just getting into Tiger Army. Its such an awesome example. | |

I think some of the words may be wrong. I THINK. I just always thought it was a little different and it sounds like it when you listen to it but I may be wrong. "Or biggest companion" = "Obvious companion" "But I will fight" = "Put up a fight" Anyway.. this song is simply about having a crush on someone. And how when you have a crush it seems like they're the only person you want to see, talk to and be with. And sometimes it can be a "big distraction" to everything else in your life. |

I think that its obvious its about love shining through a distance, like when two people are apart. But I also think "the darkness" is bad times. Like even though we go through rough patches, you still know I love you and will always. Either way its about someone who was always there to help him through, but isnt there anymore.
