I believe cigaro is about the rich, greedy fat cats in america. Lets take the first lines, "my cock is much bigger than yours, my cock can walk right through the door...etc..." I believe this is either about the "fat cats" either saying "oh,my product/company/whatever is much better than yours" or it can even be about cigars. If anyone has heard George Carlins comedy, one of his bits involves things that piss him off, one is that all these big buisness jerks smoke cigars and it looks like they have a cock in there mouth. So, it could just be relating to the chorus. The chorus I think refers to these fatcats sitting in their cushy little offices, directing companies from their little power throne and smoking expensive cigars. Now im sure you all heard the phrase "That guy must think his shit dont stink" Im pretty sure SOAD is playing off that and mocking it saying "My shit stinks much better than yours" saying basically,their full of shit. Then it goes into "cant you see I love my cock,etc." This is,i believe,saying "i love what I do,and everyone else is going to love it to" then "were the propagators of all genocide,burning through our resources then we run and hide" This is talking about out major corporations will spend tons of money,and launder money and steal and cheat...and when there caught....they cover it up..like Enron, or the whole Haliburton thing for instance. Thats just my opinion though. |

I agree with angryyouth. Serj is on a COMPLETELY different level than Daron. Don't get me wrong, Daron has a awesomly unique voice. But Serj... He's amazing. His range is so wide and nowadays, his deepened voice is haunting. I respect Daron for writing great songs, but I think Serj should go back the the main vocals. In my opinion, Daron's better harmonizing with Serj in the backround. |

When the song says, "Crack pipes, needles, PCP, and fast cars," that means that somebody was doing drugs or something of that nature. Later, it says, "I'm looking for a mother that will get me high." That means that someone is trying to make a woman give a man some crack. It is all about drugs like: crack, cocaine, etc. |

First off, great song (one of my favorites). It seems as if there are 2 situations being compared in this song. One being... whoring for heroin...(selling ass for heroin). I noted that A Chinese trick maybe referring to heroin, since opium is a very popular delicacy in China, and heroin is derived mainly from opium. The other being, Daron and this "she". And like how "she" whores for heroin...does Daron sell ass for "she"? I think this may be about how Daron sells his ass for her, likewise; a whore for heroin. And perhaps Daron wants her, but maybe knows he shouldn't, because he's selling his ass. (I need someone to save my ass) Just a theroy. :) |

I think that this is just a random, humorous song that SOAD has become known to put out once in a while. I think its comic relief from an otherwise darker album. I mean, they are aloud to put out a song without any real meaning. It could be taken as a sexual intercourse though. "Banana" being the penis and "Terracotta Pie" being the vagina. "Is there a perfect way to hold you baby?" means is there a perfect sexual position. I don't think that we can really look into it anymore than just a fun song. |

I'm going to try and ignore the grotesquely incorrect lyrics.
This is one of the sadder, deeper, serious songs that Motion City has released. I for one absolutly love it. It shows that MCS can preform happy, silly songs like Capital H as well as be seriously emo. Anyway, this song is in a letter format. Sort of the typical break up song. I can't help but wonder if Justin (or whomever wrote this song) actually recieved a letter like this. Yes, I'm far from a MCS buff. |
