I agree with J, to add to it though.... The relationship was maybe broken by the subject of the song cheating to get back at something the speaker did: I had a feeling (You'd crawl on your knees) To punish me, Sounds like a sexual reference. also fits that the speaker would be haunted with the vision of their bf/gf with another person. I know this would make them "ugly" to me. |
