| so i know the guy this song is about his name is john dixon or "diesle" to his mates hes about to turn 50 and now lives in west cork in ireland, anyway he was dateing this girl and she left him for gordon, and just to be a dick the guy wrote this song, anyway john is a really decent guy and is mad as hell and a great laugh hes even expecting his grand kid, i found this out earlier today when he was giving me a lesson on life (im only 18 and hes a friend of my god mothers who ive knowen since i was 13)he laughs about it now and jokes to this day this song is about him and he hasnt seen a penny of it, now it might no be about him but the fact it was wrote just after his girl left him for this singer called gordon its seems un likly to be about anyone else. also the guy makes out hes some kinda local hard nut or somthing but by all acounts he was a verey rich dude who was a bit of a whimp, and john despite what the song says really isnt a guy youd mess about, so thought id do jilted john a service and stick up for him | |

dude i love the poetry, but im so that guy (not the stone the other more loeserish one) its most definatly about a man in love with this hardy upfront kinda girl, and his heart breaks cus he cant stop loving her, but she dosent want to know, shes inlove with a shallower person, someone who doesnt show affection, probz (or in my case) cus she dosent want what she can have, she wants to be unhappy and unsure, and as for the stone (again in my case) he probz cares but not that much. see love sucks :) (also fucking stone ass wanker) feels good to let it out anonimasly on the web xx |

the first stanza is a refernce to a movie, it spanish i think, but the movie is about the idea what if luck was an object that can be bought and sold, and to test wheather the luck is good or not the people run blindfolded through forsets nd traffic nd such, if their lucky they dont get messed up by a tree or car or run over the edge of the cliff, prodigey made a music video paying homage to it, i think to me anyway it says that, what if i dont have luck, im willing to take the chance of getting hurt to see if im real, cus i no longer know if im gunna make it. the next part (say goodbye) to me says he might kill himself, either intentionaly or trying to prove somthing, maybe his worth, maybe just to see if he wants to be alive i cant shake this feeling, again sound more like depression, cant get over whats happening in his head, now to me the hospital doors, maybe after hes tried to kill himself, or sought help of a medical kind he leaves disheartned nd knows all those ppl smoking are either, there cus a loved one is hurt, or they are hurt, although it could be about the injury/death of a loved one but to me its the former, also smoking relaxes the nerves, again its very anxious, hazey, kinda like maybe in his head everything is foggy and bad, harmful even, despite if that the literal meaning thats what the imagery says to me someone turn me round, someone save me, someone forgive my mistakes and let me begin again, or if this is indeed about terinal illness, let me have another shot at life smiles part, is kinda violent with that idea of a stiched up mouth, kinda lyk i cant say whats going on cus i dont know, nd u stopped us from singing maybe him saying well you dont want to hear me spill my gut so why should i, posible hes being medicated for somthing depression/illness, nd because of that cant get across just how he feels about things, maybe again not whta i would say for sure, id personaly go with my former explination then the hands thing again, importantly ut some point it goes from someone turn me round, to someone turn US round, maybe he feels like everyone is like him, maybe here it is about a relationship, hes going mad about ti breaking up nd wants to start over with this person, or maybe hes guilts for somthing hes done wrong u know dirty hands, blood on the hands maybe, the broken parts bit says to me, although ive been fixed im not the same, im weaker, more fragile, or our relationship is more fragile, still i think its about depression nd wanting to top himself than a faild relationship. either way somthings been broken badly nd fixing it seems only tempory like it could shatter all over again. soz my spelling nd grammer arnt greate, but to me its a song about wanting to die, or maybe some sort of mental illness, what do you guys think? |

ive heard most alkaline trio songs and i think they are possible the best band, and i real used to love this band but now i think that they have becom sell outs the meanings to the songs are the same but it sound diffrent any other band i would love it but this is not the trio ive been loved for the past 4 years any one else agree with me? |
