| Halestorm – Break In Lyrics | 6 years ago |
| @[jo11577155:30543] I know it's probably about fans and I can completely disconnect from it but I also can't read it anyway else than just opening up and letting someone through your defenses. | |
| Taproot – Violent Seas Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Two comments and no one says anything meaningful of the song... I think it's about life in general but not the beat-down giving-up kind of interpretation. It's the "Life is annoying, over-bearing, tough, relentless, remorseless, sometimes sadistic and the people aren't helping either but I'm doing my best" kind of interpretation. Score one for originality. |

| Disturbed – Indestructible Lyrics | 17 years ago |

The true lyrics, taken from the booklet (as far as I can read conjoined) Another mission, the powers Have called me away Another time to carry The colors again My motivation, an oath I've sworn to defend To win the honor, of coming back home again No explanation will matter, after we begin Unlock the dark destroyer that's hidden within My true vocation, and now my unfortunate friend You will discover a war you're unable to win I'll have you know That I've become Indestructible Determination that is incorruptible From the other side A terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible Take a last look around, while you're alive I'm an Indestructible, master of war Another reason, another cause For me to fight Another fuse uncovered now for me to light My dedication, to all that I've sworn to protect I carry out my orders without a regret My declaration, embedded deep under the skin A permanent reminder of how it began No hesitation when I am commanded to strike You need to know that you're in for the fight of your life You will be shown How I've become Indestructible Determination that is incorruptible From the other side A terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible Take a last look around, while you're alive I'm an Indestructible, master of war [Guitar Solo] I'm Indestructible Determination that is incorruptible From the other side A terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible Take a last look around, while you're alive I am Indestructible (Indestructible) Indestructible Determination that is incorruptible From the other side A terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible Take a last look around, while you're alive I'm an Indestructible, master of war |

| Sentenced – Ever-Frost Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This basically seems like an overall protest song, probably against "high society" critics dissing their music. Which is too bad because Sentenced were a great band. And interesting thing is that, even though Sentenced never said why they decided to end their career, this song's video is somewhat of a hint towards it. It shows the band members taking a coffin across a lake and then a frozen landscape and then burying it. And at the end of it, you can see a sort of Sentenced 2050 version - old people who can barely stay awake before going out to play to a similiarly old audience. |

| Megadeth – Reckoning Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is about Religion vs. Atheism or more specifically, Conservatism vs. Liberalism. All the things Dave says about the other side is consistent along with the things he says about himself. This could also be about Rock&Metal vs. Mainstream. After all, we don't want revenge, pay back or to get even. We just want a Reckoning. |

| Sentenced – Lower the flags Lyrics | 20 years ago |

It's a graveyard tune. A pretty good one. It's simple mourning but done very good. Almost as good as Hammerfall's Glory to the Brave. |

| Sentenced – May Today Become The Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |

That was a really cool song. A full troop of fighters. One is always fighting, pushing forward and forward. As his friends are dropping he keep rushing and they all think that he's a hero, he's brave, he's strong and all he wants is to die. |

| Sentenced – No More Beating As One Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This should have been added to the Shock Rock series. | |
| Sentenced – Let Go Lyrics | 20 years ago |

It's about a suicide. Excellent music. Cool performance. But no lyrical genius. |

| Sentenced – Warrior Of Life (reeper Redeemer) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is about life as a journey. It's quite against the usual Sentenced gothic-bloody-suicide theme for it presents a contradicting point of view. The comparison is between life and a war. Life is bad, useless, pointless, bloody, gloomy, difficult and rock hard. But the warrior keeps on fighting and welcomes it. The only way to live life is to fight for every moment. Paraphrasing from Angel: "Heroes don't accept the world. They fight to change it." |

| Sentenced – Crumbling Down (give Up Hope) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think it's basically a simple Apocalyptic toned song. Nothing more about it. | |
| Sentenced – Bleed Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It seems like the standard gothic suicide-note-style "I'm miserable" kind of song. Sounds great but not one of Sentenced's lyrical genius. | |
| Trapt – My Own Design Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| He's right. Amazon and Trapt's site confirm it. | |
| Trapt – Skin Deep Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
It's quite clear it's about someone who looks for "love" strictly by physical characteristics. If someone isn't good-looking then they go, turn over another page. With my short experience with rock writing, I bet that the object of the song is a girl one of them knew and wanted to go out with but she always turned them down because they weren't hunks. |
