| "I'm holding on a rope Got me 10 feet off the ground" i think he's just waiting, for an answer, or finality, and she she tells him she needs him, coz its wot he wants to hear, but says she's leaving him. i guess she doesnt wanna be the bad guy. and he knows wots she is saying, but he cant react and i guess doesnt want to believe it. and she is so used to getting her way with him, that she doesnt expect him to react by saying its too late. that he's done with her. He would have done anythin for her, taken any chance, but he's reached his limit. Seems quite straight forward actually. You put someone on a pedestal and they let you down, and still want you to be there for them. | |

We all hide from our insecurities. We hardly share them, and we take it out on others. Making each other feel small. If we would just stop, and realise that we are all imperfect. We are all simon. But we all deal with it differently. Fear will destroy the most important things in our lives if we let it. As for the overall meaning, i can't be sure. It could be that it was NAMED coz of the simon in the bible, coz jason is religious. And it could also be that it was written for his friend, but that does not mean that the friends name is simon. so yeah, could be both.. He could have wrote it, then realised that it simon would be a perfect title.. anyway, thats just me and my take on things... :P |

| why do people keep sayin that lifehouse is a cristian band? yes, the members are religious, but when even THEY say they are NOT A CHRISTIAN BAND, why insist they that they are??? stop pushin it down our throats! its a beautiful song, but its a LOVE song. about someone so in love that ANY AFFECTION from the person they love means the world to them. he/she just wants to be near their love. how can people not see that????? and all the references to heaven and god are to show just how much he loves her.. being with her equates to heaven.. since when is poetry taken literally???? | |
