| Neverending White Lights – Return Our Lives Lyrics

This is about a man who has an encounter with an angel, in the same idea as an alien abduction. He learns somethings about his life and his love, and wants the chance to just go back and fix things. He wants to go back to his life. He wants happiness (springtime...for one day). The line "My saviour complains that he wants more love) is a reference to the way an organized religion, like catholisism can make you feel like you can almost never do enough to be happy. You can never love enough, or be a good enough person because we're flawed. And its almost like they're making it seem like Jesus is complaining (or moreso the church) that he wants MORE love....and we can never give enough by flawed design. Its a contraversial line. But it makes good sense. In the end, we're all "out of love" to give. |

This song was written about a man who wants to take his life because he feels he can't find where or what his purpose is in this world. He is struggling with his inner angels and demons, and he's fighting his own voices to figure out what's right. He is basically asking for help. The original title is 'The Grace Of A Happy Death." |

I read somewhere that Matt was in the hospital, and when he came to this is what he was humming in his head first....so he had to get it out. |

Further to that. The title of the song is Failing the Rorscharch Test, which in this story is the main test that Charlie (the mentally challenged kid) has to take. It's a big part of the story actually. Give that's the title of the song, it's got to be from that play. |

I'm almost positive this song came from the Play entitled: Flowers For Algernon. It's about a mentally challenged boy who miraculously gets better and falls in love with Alice, his caretaker. It's obviously problematic for her since he was her patient, and all of a sudden there's an attraction. It doesn't work out in the end, and he ends up in the same mental state as when he started. |
