System of a Down – Pizza Pie Lyrics 18 years ago
SirTulip: You shouldn’t have to apologize, it was an honest mistake. My suggestion would be Google in the future though, haha...it definitely works wonders for me.

Nothing is True: Chill! It’s just a song, and this is JUST A WEBSITE. I’m sorry that you’re so into System of a Down that you have to bash other users. Somehow that simply reveals your own idiocy & ignorance.

CompanyCalls: I agree entirely. I think it conveys the materialism of today quite well...after all...half the things people own, they wouldn’t have bought if it weren’t for people convincing them that the items are needed. (ahem, cosmetic surgery, anyone?) And it's so darn catchy at the same time =)

Atreyu – Demonology and Heartache Lyrics 20 years ago
i also cried the first time i heard this song. lol.

anyways, the part that goes:
"If I had my way I'd cut the calluses
Off your breaking heart
If I could get past the sternum
Cauterize those wounds with every kiss I could give to you
I'm holding your heart in my hands
The reason it still beats

Am I being too cryptic?
Am I being too obscure?
Love kills
Romance is dead
And I don't even trust myself
But I love you
And you can pull my wings apart
And pin me down under glass
Until the end of days
If it can help you discover that we share the same pain
I just hope you write your thesis before your subject is dead
No life after death"

makes me think of when you try to help someone whose heart is breaking, and telling them that you love them. and it doesn't work, and it's like telling them that you really do know how they feel, and would do anything to help.

idk, personal feeling here.
i adore this song.

Silverstein – November Lyrics 20 years ago
this song has a much deeper meaning to me. whether the first comment was true or not, this is is what it means to me.

the first time i listened to this song, it was on a day where one of my best friend was talking about suicide. and i kept telling her how wonderful she was, but she didn't believe that people would miss her. this is how it reminds me of a person contemplating suicide and a friend trying to help

"the dreams you've lost" part would be the dissapointments that faced the person in question

"i can't put all this back in place back in place" you couldn't fix it for them.

"i can see it in your eyes you're broken down, your hands are tied. i can feel it in my side. over and over and over i've tried" you can see that the person is depressed and can't do anything about it, and you try to help, but it doesn't work

"i fear that all my cries fell upon deaf ears"
you're afraid that no matter what you tell them, they'll commit suicide anyway

"i close my eyes and i can see you dead" you picture the worst.

so to me, it sounds like suicide.
(and for the record, my friend didn't go through with it, thank God)
