| Tool – Opiate Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I think that: The title is a reference to the quote "Religion is an opiate for the masses". Most of the lyrics describe how religions encourage people to blindly follow. The lines "let me lay my hand upon you" and "we both want to rape you" probably allude to child molestation by clerics. |

| Front 242 – Melt Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It is about some sort of dangerous situation, perhaps during some sort of war. | |
| Front 242 – First In First Out Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is probably about dancing. "First in first out" describes any sort of queue. I don't know what it has to do with this song though. |
| Duran Duran – White Lines (Don't Do It) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| HMMMM. I wonder if this song is about cocaine. | |
| The Vandals – Mohawk Town Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Maybe this song is joking about real groups of people with mohawks that exclude skinheads. Like, they don't fit in if they don't have a mohawk. This song is great in any case. |
| The Vandals – Euro-Barge Lyrics | 19 years ago |
That's pretty fucking racist, oldskoolpunker23. (You can't generalize about a race just based on what some people do.) This is a fun song, but it's not entirely serious. |
| Kompressor – 120 MPH Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| KOMPRESSOR is quite possibly the most manly being to ever exist. | |
| Static-X – Dirthouse Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Sounds like it's about a place where dirty things are done. | |
| Subhumans – Work, Rest, Play, Die Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| But of course it's not just about that. It's telling you to actually take action rather than just talking about problems or whatnot. | |
| Jello Biafra – Kali-Fornia Über Alles 21st Century Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Yeah.. It's great that they made a new version; the beat for California Uber Alles is awesome. | |
| MDFMK – Stare At The Sun Lyrics | 20 years ago |
It's hard to tell what most of the verses mean, to me. "The dislocation confusion Total lack of destination Nothing left to ask Greed exceeds all moderation" suggests what NorseFlame wrote though. |
| Tool – Jerk-Off Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is an interesting song to me because the thing that the song appears to be saying is wrong is something that I believe. I mean, I've never seen any reason to believe that there is a "right" or "wrong", and consequences really do generally dictate one's course of action. Anyway, I think that both tvisthedevil and adamizer (and unrelatedly, Maynard in the song..) should calm down.. |

| MC Frontalot – Penny Arcade Theme Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Hmm. What do ye s'pose lO"$ is, or what directory of nerdcore he's talking about? |
| MC Frontalot – Yellow Lasers Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| And yet one wouldn't guess it until the last line. | |
| MC Frontalot – Floating Bridge Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Wonder why one would make a song about this.. At least it's not a cliched subject. |
| MC Frontalot – Romantic Cheapskate Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Ah, great song. It's about Frontalot's history with songfight.org. But having the website be a girl makes it subtle. Clever. |
| KMFDM – Trust Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Basically every line is a command. "Admit and defend your emotions 'cause they send out the message that is you and that's the only thing that's true" is an interesting line. I dunno, the song sounds like it's suggesting to just go with your instinct/feeling. |
| KMFDM – Today Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Yeah.. "It" in the chorus could apply to practically anything. The song makes one realize how things are temporary and such. | |
| Placebo – Been Smoking Too Long (Nick Drake cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Y'crazy, hastalavictoria. My opinion's that Nick Drake sung it better, but eh. |
| KMFDM – Virus Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Jah. "You catch it once Catch it twice Catch it with your love-device " Subtle, no? Funniest euphemism for 'penis' that I've heard. |
| KMFDM – Urban Monkey Warfare Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Um, how do you figure, adamBFOW? | |
| KMFDM – Money Lyrics | 20 years ago |
A statement about the cause of drug problems, I say. "Cause the government is saving on public education" S'pose the chorus, then, is suggesting that the kids don't have much time to get ready, they're just told 'go kids go!'. |
| KMFDM – Down And Out Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Well, they're trying to fool someone into drinking the brew for some reason. I don't get much beyond that. Any ideas? |
| Lamb – Bonfire Lyrics | 20 years ago |
The chorus seems to encourage people to act with flair/enthusiasm/energy in everything that they do. I really like it. |
| Dead Kennedys – Stealing People's Mail Lyrics | 20 years ago |
...No, stealing people's mail does not creat total anarchy. It just annoys people; how is pissing people off a stroke of genius? And you'd not really be 'undermining the institute' by stealing mail; these are normal people that you're stealing from, and the government isn't hurt. Dead Kennedys' satire is one of the things I really like about them. |
| Front 242 – Welcome To Paradise Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Looks like a commentary on Christianity. The repitition throughout feels like fanatical chanting somehow. --The poor are told that Jesus will help them. Christianity makes people feel guilty ("Oh god I'm a sinner!"). At the end, says that you don't really have to be like Jesus. Meh. It has a strange sound to it. |
