ferry you could be right, but I couldn't find anything to link the number 1200 to religion then I came across something interesting, the number 12 hundred appears in comparison to war in numerous history sites. Look at what the song is saying and you see that like a lot of songs that are vaguely about religion i has a lot of symbolism for warfare and violence also. ahh the things we look up when were still up at 5 in the morning |

I think the song is about being obsessed with a woman who thinks she is to good to be with him. Arrows sting is probably refering to cupids arrow, and how he is hoping that he can bring her to like him no matter how it has to be done. the line Erase the doubt I think is about doubting yourself. and how he wants her to make him stop doubting himself by being with her. Making his Dream a reality and giving him what he wants, and believe that he can do anything. Waylon's part in he song is a little less self expainitory so... "Herein the day of upon us" how he feels as of right now with this girl "much less caring for others haunts us" wanting to care for others but unable to do so "No one can make another promise to us" No one can give him what he wants... which is nothing more than just having the girl he's obsessed with "You find it strange how the darkness calms us alone at home and hopeless Drown in the life We've left behind us" this whole part is just saying that it's easier to be alone than face the world without the person they care about, but as he is doing this all he can think about is all the mistakes he's made in his past that have put him in the position he is in today. "You find it strange how the darkness calms the life We've left behind us" It's so much easier to blank out all the past mistakes you've made and keep making the same ones than to try and completely change your way of life. |

I think this song is about A single father's love for his daughter and how his thought push the brink between fatherly love and incestuous love... thus he is Doomed to dam the rift Across the shifting abyss With het body and its gift... My filthy little secret I think in the end of the song it is talking about how he does push the brink to far and she is forced to live half in both heavan and hell with her father thus the story of Persephone the daughter of Zues and Demeter who was Kidnapped and taken to Hell then resuced by her mother and lives 6 months in heaven and six months in hell... It also says he is "Searching for the Key" to aet her free into the regular world again with what he has just done to her. IMO and I just saw this through the words |

the 4 cities mentioned in the songs represent the 4 ends of all the grand Eroupian Empires. Rome, Charlemane (sp?), and other conquerors. England never had anything to do with any of it... the 4 feasts mentioned are feasts making the season changes as they are generally viewed in europe... What I think this song is saying is that England needs to finally take charge and control something instead of sit back and watch everyone else do it. They tried with America, but look what happens. America gets of it's feet and says fuck you we got it and dumps england off ot the side., I think what Dani is saying here is that England has just been withheld throughout history, and that even on it's attepmts to take charge has failed. England has nothing to it's name, and has nothing looking up for it in the future and Dani thinks that they should try and do something to give england some hope and glory for the future. |

What about this guys, maybe it's not only about religion, maybe it's about all the Myths humanity has made up. I see a lot of symbolism here for a lot of the fake stories in the world today: Christianity, Witchcraft, Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Ghosts, Sucubbi. All of these things besides Christianity have at one time actually scared people for fear that they actually exsisted, however, Christianity is an unproven myth just as all these other stories are, but people still believe in it. I think what Dani is doing in this song is putting Christianity in close contact with all of these other myths and basically saying "Christianity is no more true than any other story humanity have come out with, and I'll not believe in it anymore than I believe in them" Oh and about the Coffin Fodder thing. it can be looked at from any perspective, and though I don't look at it from the coffin feed side I'll even add an interpritation for that aswell Coffin feed- most of these Myths deal with undead or afterlife who's main purpose is the need to feed same goes for Christianity really, without people to feed off of Christianity would die off a well. Coffin Fodder (Exagerated Story) - All of these Myths are fake stories that have been passed on for years and most people don't even know the true origin of... Christianity just happens to be one of the oldest of them all. Coffin Fodder (Poor Calibure) - Basically Christianity has no Physical proof to back up the stories, besides humanities word. This is IMO and I'm open to hear other peoples suggestions. |

karma you beat me too it lol.... only things I can really add to this are as follows Where nature’s travesties congregate With a stone cold wish To see the wickermen burning travesties full meaning is a grotesque or debased(degraded) likeness. death begins To fashion fete to gallow scenes… Basically what I got from it is that death goes from being just another beautiful passage from one life to the next but a horridly grotesque show, and not only rebirth, but heaven and hell, and any other afterlife from all religions is disproved by the spirits that have risen. Just a personal opinion, give me some feed back on what you think. |
