FERRETS ARE ATTACKING!!!!!
Life be a ferret that hurts you again and agian and just causes a lot of unpleasantness. Or maybe it's just a ferret. A mean ferret. That likes being inside people's noses and exploding. |

I thought it was "I'm of age" not an "I'm a they". I prefer the I'm of age personaly. Anyway, I believe I first heard it around when I was 14 or so and the first time I heard it it clicked. It reached me somplace that songs do, just a lot deeper than any other. It can really change my outlook in an instant where as others have to ease me into a new mood a lot slower. I know because once I was very sad and depressed and then I heard this song on the line "everydays a new day" and a shiver just ran up me and my mood changed drastically and I was happy. One of my most powerful experiences with any song. And I also thought at 99 it was "time for just another moment" instead of dying. Love this song. Still has just as stong an effect on me now at 16 as it did the first time I heard it. Just love it like no other. I don't know, it just holds more power and magic for me. Tells me that at 15 you have time to screw up and still make a great life and be successful. |

First time I heard it I thought he was saying someones name instead of "dying" So I thought it was all about sex. Yes, when I first heard it I thought "wow, these people have a lot of sex!" I mean, orgys, sharing disease through sex, how they tend to be risky people and so would die. So much. Then as I look at it again, I think less about sex even thouugh it still seems prominant if you change that one word. Plus the whole "doin it in Texas" and sharing and people conection things. But really, it has a lot of deeper meanings and such. I could even read into the chorus enogh to relate it to, say, relate it to tea! Tea is sweet and such so to me this shows how the chorus is too easy to relate to things to use to base what the entire song means. But dying, if it really is a persons name as it sounds to me, would make the song all about radical people and group sex. Could be good food and all the death relates to what happens when you eat bad food. Something tha should rot your teeth in your head instead causes a blockage in ones foot or perhaps rapist of the cookie jar! But thats silly I guess. Anyway, I find trying to figure what the real meaning behind these songs is to hard like in art, and that we should take the meaning it meas to us individually instead of trying to show it universally. Like to me it's group sex. To another it's heroin. To yet another it's death. Alll are present, but each theme more prominent depending on the individual and their outlook and experiences. And no, I have never had group sex nor even sex with anyone yet. I guess I thought of that mostly because there was this other song I had been listening to since it was playing on the radio when this song was about this girl who was really slutty named Mikey or something and she ended up showing this guy a good time. Don't know the name of that song though. |
