Yeah I got it wrong. When I heard that Ross made Jon sing a song to his wife while recording, I assumed it was this one. Turns out it was actually "Are You Ready To Live?". |

Possibly my favorite song off the new album. Apparently Ross had Jon's wife come in and made him sing it to her while recording. Should give a pretty big clue as to what it's about... And YES, I think the crying is genuine. |

Just a few suggestions for *possible* corrections:
"Pay the bitches they're touching on their dates, stand by" doesn't really make sense. To me it sounds like he's saying "Pay the bigots who judge you on your knees / Stand up"
"Don't forget care to thy brother" to me always sounded like "Don't forget, can't sue thy brother"
I'm pretty sure about my first correction, the second seems less likely the more I think about it.
Also, in response to drshock, I believe the song is only being critical of *organized* religion, not religion itself. In many cases organized religion tends to become a sensationalized version, almost a parody, of the faith it is meant to teach and inspire, and those in power within the church tend to use their position for their own personal gain. I think that's really what the song is getting at. |

I agree with the "sex/sex addiction" theories. At least, that's what I interpreted it as being about.
"Watch the white / turn to red"
I like donate's idea of this referring to shooting up, though personally I think it's referring to his skin (turning red from friction, y'know to support the whole "sex" interpretation). |

After reading the above posts, I went back and listened to the song a few more times. I believe that chingus is right, and have changed the lyrics for that part. I also tweaked a few other lyrics that I felt were off.
Anyway, thanks for the props and thanks to chingus for the correct lyrics. |

After seeing how horribly unaccurate the lyrics for this song were on other sites, I decided to post a fixed version. They aren't perfect, though. I was unsure about "See some uranium" and "Prospected when I am" lines, but guessed as best as I could. Still, even with those minor problems, these lyrics are far, far more accurate than anywhere else. |
