Brand New – The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree a lot with rudeboy.
The line "A crown of gold, a heart thats harder than stone but it hurts a whole lot and its missed when its gone" sounds like every typical crap relationship. The person hurts you and they are cold but you still have those feelings and miss them.

"It's cold as a tomb and its dark in your room when I sneak to your bed to pour salt on your wounds. So call it quits or get a grip. You say you wanted a solution, you just wanted to be missed."
They're broken up but still mess around now and then. The break up was supposed to be the solution but how can it be when they still see each other and are physical? She just wanted his attention.
I don't believe it has anything to do with revenge/regret. There is no regret for him. She broke off the relationship and it seems the regret is on HER side. She still misses him but he doesn't really care, he just wants her to move on.

Morrissey – I Like You Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree with shroom. It is the perfect like song.
"No one I ever knew or have spoken to resembles you
This is good and bad all depending on my general view" I thought it was mood? Anyways, that line is one of my favorite by Morrissey. I think it's something everyone can relate to when liking someone.

Morrissey – The Ordinary Boys Lyrics 20 years ago
I think it's about how typical teenagers are and someone managing to stand out from the ordinary.

Jaded, that is what it means to her you dolt.
And I think you and others need to get over this whole Morrissey being a homosexual thing.

Morrissey – I Don't Mind If You Forget Me Lyrics 20 years ago
This song seems like a break up (whether it's friendly or romantic.) They don't want to have you in their life the way you used to anymore, and it hurts but at the same time it's typical and you don't care anymore. (although you do.)
I'm not sure if that made sense, but most human emotions don't.

Morrissey – Glamorous Glue Lyrics 20 years ago
I love this song and the lines "Where is the man you respect ? And where is the woman you love ?" have to be some of the greatest words I have ever heard anyone say.

Brand New – Play Crack the Sky Lyrics 20 years ago
I love the Beatles quote at the end. I think it's awesome.

This song to me is just basically about love, and yes like a million people have said Jesse loves The Smiths and Morrissey and there are a lot of lines that are similar iin their songs.

"I got a twenty dollar bill
that says no one's ever seen you without makeup,
you're always made up"
God does that remind me of one of my friends.

The I wish you were my shadow thing I don't think means that he still can't get over her. I don't think it has to do with an ex anyways. That line to me just means he critiques her and slanders her but still wishes that she would be jealous or live in his shadow.

Brand New – Am I Wrong? (Love Spit Love cover) Lyrics 20 years ago
I love this song. I can honestly relate to most of the lines in it. I think it's just a description of how a person feels.

Placebo – Every You Every Me Lyrics 20 years ago
Soundgarden: You're a moron.

I also agree that "suckerlove" is just love in general. The name reminds me of high school couples.

the line "every me and every you" is like a comparison of every couple. Like every relationship is just a clone of one another and for every hurtful person and the abused there is a million other.

Like the naked leads the blind.
I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind.-- I think this refers to the person who is hurtful in the relationship. A blind person can't see the other is naked, they can't see the problem.

Morrissey – How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel? Lyrics 20 years ago
"The people who persist. Who stick their fingers on the bell and say 'I know that you're in there and I'll huff and I'll puff'. I can't even imagine those people buy my records or even understand me. I think the audience now has become so large that it's a collection of different people with different visions of what kind of a person I am." - Morrissey

I think this song touches on how people are constantly judging him and making guesses about his sexuality and other lifestyles and how fans become obsessed like he said above.

Morrissey – All The Lazy Dykes Lyrics 20 years ago
I think it's about just a women feeling taken for granted and caring more about her husband and constantly trying for him when he doesn't.
I'm female and have felt this way before and actually thought that turning homosexual would be easier (lazy). It makes you think that maybe you could actually find someone to appreciate you and understand you.

"Love" is not always said in a romanticized or sexual meaning. I always felt this song was just about caring and loving for people in general and not feeling like you recieve any of it back.

And a lot of asexual people are constantly under people's comments and critcism of them being homosexual. Grow up, not everyone is either straight or gay. Nor does everyone write about sex and romantic relationships. Try to think outside of what is usually displayed in the popular media.
