They played this in Oslo a couple of weeks ago. Brian actually told us this: We hardly ever play this songs back home in N. America because it's so hard to sing live and we always fuck up the words.
But over here you probably won't notice it as much as they would do back home. Glad they played it, it's my favourite song of the album. |

Does the song suck more just because it's only 3 minutes long or what exactly is your point? Very clever said, idiot. I like the simplicity and straighforwardness of the song. No need to complicate it.

When they played this live in Hollywood for the Skin & Bones dvd he dedicate this song for his sister Lisa. So maybe it's not about love between a boyfriend - girlfriend, but more the love you have for you family members.
I see it as he encourages her to find someone new, or if she's really happy or satisfied in her relationship when he sings is someone getting the best of you (like saying you can get something better).
I havn't analyzed the lyrics at all really but since he dedicated it to his sister it might be something like that. Any thoughts? |

I don´t know if people outside Sweden gets it, but Black Cab is a word-by-word translation of "Svarttaxi". (Svart=Black, Taxi=Cab).
Svarttaxi/Black Cab means to take an illegal cab home. I think that´s what he means with "they might me psycho killers". That you never know what kind of person driving that "cab" are. Maybe they try to rob/rape you. Have happend a lot of times in Sweden. |
