The album "Be Here Now" is apparently a flop, but i think its great. This song stands out for me as the best, probably is fairly poppy, hence should have been played on the radio more. Great song i say |

It's such a simple song, which Noel has arranged perfectly in terms of rhythm, and melody. He is definately one of the greatest song writers of all time. Awesome song |

I have had countless people tell me that they wrote this with John Lennon's "Imagine" in their minds. You can hear that from the simple piano line in the intro. Also, i saw them play in Melbourne a few days ago, they dominated. Probably the best band i've seen live. Morning glory by far the best song on the night. Don't look back in anger was good but not as good as i thought it would be, it seems Starky doesn't drum it quite the same. |

Excellent point StupidKid67. I only really starting getting into them when they put out "good mourning". So of course i got a copy of earlier albums and although I liked their earlier stuff, it's great to see they have their own unique sound now. They don't just sound like every other punk band trying to make it big. And although it's annoying to see a band go mainstream, it's just a progression and the way it goes. |
