The Books – Motherless Bastard Lyrics 17 years ago
This song starts with a child being rejected by his father (maybe the father is teasing him). Then it progresses into a slow and melodic piece like in a traditional folk dance.

I'm humbled by their unique sense of music.

Sufjan Stevens – Inaugural Pop Music for Jane Margaret Byrne Lyrics 18 years ago
This is one of the most interesting Instrumentals he adds. It's so easy to skip over the instrumentals, but not this one. It's just too strange.

Death Cab for Cutie – I Will Follow You Into the Dark Lyrics 19 years ago
Sourberville, that is the most typical conservative christian response I have heard.

He is mocking the "religious" love, by saying "Fear is the heart of love." Basic theology that traditional religion teaches "Love God by fearing him"...he doesn't want that love.

Death Cab for Cutie – Death of an Interior Decorator Lyrics 20 years ago
I'm curious who "They traded their vows" is refering too. If "they" means the mother who was previously being refered to in Second person "you"...then it is no wonder this song is confusing. That's why I am leaded to believe(based off of lyrics) that 'They' should have been refering to a daughter being married. I love his lyrics and it would be sad if he made such a foul 'speaker' error; As to make the actual meaning unfound in the lyrics.
