Kara's Flowers – To Her With Love Lyrics 15 years ago
It's not a cover.

Lily Allen – Back to the Start Lyrics 15 years ago
What's incredible about this song (and Lily as an artist) is that she tackles such a personal and emotional issue, but does it in this incredibly catchy, hooky way. She's amazing. And addicting!

Kanye West – I Wonder Lyrics 16 years ago
Don't really care about his lyrics here. The vibe of the production is just....ill.

Linkin Park – Bleed It Out Lyrics 17 years ago
For some reason, I actually think this song is a self satire of their own lyrics on previous albums.

"and here we go for the hundredth time"

- A jab at repetitiveness?

"grind myself out and no one cares"

-They express their emotions on their songs and yet critics don't seem to respect them?

"I bleed it out, digging deeper just to throw it away"

- Translation: I put my life in my lyrics, digging deeper, but it's useless?

"doesn't matter how hard I try, half the words don't mean a thing, and I know that I won't be satisfied"

- A similar line ("doesn't even matter how hard you try") from In The End, everything I've written doesn't mean a thing, and I'll never be satisfied?

Five bucks says this song is a metaphor for getting high and forgetting all the world problems. Genius.

Fort Minor – Spraypaint and Ink Pens Lyrics 18 years ago
I'm surprised no one has commented yet. This song is genius. Each story has a lot of meaning and a lot to say. Mike's flow in his story is insane and the third verse tells a beautifully tragic story in a little space opera cover. Genius.

Fort Minor – Kenji Lyrics 18 years ago
This is the most ballsy song on the album. Rumor has it that Mike got into an argument with Jay over having the track on the final album. Good thing Mike won the argument. It's a great song, although it does feel a little out of place.

Fort Minor – Where'd You Go? Lyrics 18 years ago
I like this song, but I don't know... it just isn't one of my favorites on the album. Holly Brook sounds like an angel, but Mike's lyrics are at their weakest (in my opinion) on this track. Kind of genric. And this is coming from a big fan of Mike's lyricism.

I think this is a great addition to the album. It's a fun song with a ridiculous beat.

Fort Minor – Cigarettes Lyrics 18 years ago
Lyrically, this song is probably number one on The Rising Tied in terms of being just so well thought out. The metaphor is brilliant and the song is nice and dark as L-Kyne said.

Fort Minor – Petrified Lyrics 18 years ago
The beat is insane. This is a good song to release an album with, but I think if they want to really show what Fort Minor is all about they need to release "Right Now" or "High Road" as a single.

Fort Minor – Get Me Gone Lyrics 18 years ago
Okay, "The Infer Theory". Mike uses the word in the right context, so let's end that discussion.

The line:
"Oh / did I lose you at “infer?”
Not used to hearing a verse that uses over first-grade vocabulary words?" is absolutely genius.

This line really relates to the earlier track "Cigarettes" in which he discusses the retardation of mainstream radio hip hop and how most of it is total BS and child-like.

As far as this track as a whole, it does exactly what it should have done; it leads perfectly into "High Road". I think that after he says, "Bitch" the song should have ended and cut into "High Road", but he's the artist.

Fort Minor – Feel Like Home Lyrics 18 years ago
Corrections: "My life's LIKE trying to swallow a pine cone".

"Just pretend you don't feel so ALONE.".

I love the flow of this song. Mike's verse is really crisp, but Ryu's is the illest for me.

Fort Minor – The Hard Way Lyrics 18 years ago
The first verse brings to mind how a celebrity comes home to his old friends and his old neighborhood and everybody is different; everybody has changed and doesn't treat him the same.

Fort Minor – Right Now Lyrics 18 years ago
Mike Shinoda said this song was inspired by Robert Altman's film "Short Cuts". It's poetry to me. A thing of beauty and one of the most meaningful and poignant songs on The Rising Tied
