I think this song is about John Squire and the general break up of the Stone Roses. Its kinda sarcastic at the bit where the lyrics go "I know mine, mine know me, I can sail upon your see, I can sail upon your sea so easy, she knows she cant see me".....if you listen to the vocal melody here, its exactly the same as Squires guitar solo in the B-side 'Ride On', which was on the Ten Story Love Song Single. Its blatantly taking the piss!!! |
