This song is just, amazing. It took my breath away. Right, so, to me, this song is about two people in love. A love so wonderfully perfect it was as if they were the only two people ever, and they're in a wonderful tranquil place. But because, it's so perfect, she doesn't know if she's dreaming or not. And then, towards the end, it all changes. And the sudden ending represents her waking up. It's amazing. Just absolutely amazing. |

This song is about a girl who commit suicide (obviously) Of course, she's been contemplating it for a long while - "Still I know you want a strangle or a mouth full/Of gasoline or to be tied up and stoned" "The countless ways you thought to die no hesitation/Fantasize long enough, you know it just might come true" But now she's actually done it - "Your last stroll down the block was in the trunk of a car" The writer/singer/view point is writing letters to her, as if it was his way of dealing with his grief - "I wrote to tell you that I hope you’re feeling better" He hopes that all her pain has gone and she's happy where ever she is now, because he cares for her |
