i think this is an amazing song, they're very detatched lyrics and i think it was be taken two ways. one is that the three wise men were a group of guys who, when they were all yonger, were after a girl who he was in love with and now that they've all matured he has finally got this girl and he's looking back and saying to the three guys; "look who's alone now, its not me". and asking them to ask themselves "where are you now" becasue they've thrown their lives away on drugs and shit earlier and now none of them are happy. the second is where he is one of the wise men, and they are a group of friends who were all pining over the one girl who treated them all like shit, and now that the three friends have grown up they realize that they dont need her to be happy and so they've all deserted her and he's telling the girl "look who's alone now, its not me" and that the three friends are all now happy that they've moved on. however you take the song to mean i think it is a terriffic song, the way he sings the lyrics is incredible and its such a unique song, one of, if not, his best. |
