To me, it's about a guy trying to explain himself because he's done something wrong. No matter what he does, he's wrong, not because he's an idiot, but because he's just average. Look at the lines "Baby I've got something to say to you I was wrong and the fault is mine" The first line ("Baby I've got...") indicates that he's going to stand up for himself and maybe tell his girl off, but follows this gusto with the sheepish "I was wrong and the fault is mine." Then again, maybe I'm putting too much thought into this. |
