Emery – After The Devil Beats His Wife Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think when he says "river wash me clean" he's wanting the river to take him too, because of the guilt he feels for being responsible for his friends death. I donno. Just a guess. |
Showbread – Oh! Emetophobia! Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm sorry...but I definately don't think it's about jesus. when's the last time you called jesus "baby"? that's kinda weird...."dance with me, baby?" "run your fingers through my hair?" smear the make-up on my face" no. don't think so. if it is about jesus, I think it's kinda disrespectful.... |
Kids in the Way – Fiction Lyrics | 17 years ago |
'We have the freedom to make choices in our lives. In this instance, the choice is to make or break a relationship. Some of our choices are good, some are bad. When we make the wrong choice based on selfishness or ignorance, we begin veering from the true story of what our lives could be. We start writing a fiction of our own, burning the pages of truth and what was once right in our wake. We are not poets...there are some truths in our lives we don't have the freedom to re-write.' - Dave Pelsue (Kids In The Way) |
Kids in the Way – Apparitions Of Melody Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"This song we chose as the title track because it carries a theme that I think encompasses all the songs on this record and everything KITW is about. With this song we are simply implying that someday the music will die. Music is an ever-changing, ever-growing thing that people use up and go through like clothing. As a band we are very aware of that and are ok with that because to us, it’s not really about the actual music. Don’t get me wrong, this music is our art and we love creating it, but it’s what goes into the art and what makes the art live that really matters to us. It is our hope and desire that long after the music fades from your head, the spirit that was instilled in the music will live on in you forever." - Dave Pelsue (Kids In The Way) |
Kids in the Way – This Could Be The Song That Will Change Your Heart Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I found this quote: "This song is simply a lamentation. Sometimes we find ourselves in a place where the only thing we can do is cry out to God. This is exactly what He wants from us. We are dependent upon Him and would be dead without Him." - Dave Pelsue (Kids In The Way) |
Kids in the Way – This Could Be The Song That Will Change Your Heart Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I hate to be the kid that says "oh em gee...all songs are about jesus!" but, this song is totally a song crying out to God. |
Kids in the Way – Head Over Heels Lyrics | 18 years ago |
sorry, buddy...but this is a Tears for Fears song...not U2...look in the cd cover...it says "Written by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith" but KitW definately did an amazing job in turning a synth-pop song into screamo... I love this song |
The Classic Crime – Blisters & Coffee Lyrics | 18 years ago |
caughtablaze is right. it's kind of a revenge song. and sin is personified by "the enemy" but the bible says that revenge is God's, right? that's what the chorus is about....calling out to God, and letting him pick us back up and strengthen us. and the rest of the song is about using the strength God has given us to defeat sin..and "the enemy" that's what I think anyway... |
The Classic Crime – Who Needs Air Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I think this song is about seeking fufillment (air) in life (the water, or just an adventure) but when you have a relationship with God, you don't need air, and you don't need fufillment with life, because you have real fufillment with God, something much better. these are just my thoughts...and the song parallels the general idea. |
House of Heroes – Buckets for Bullet Wounds Lyrics | 18 years ago |
so...I'm thinking this song is just about how corrupted the world is.... but what is "the wolf that comes to many homes these days"?? does it just represent corruption?? and he's spreading it?? anyone else? |
Emery – Left With Alibis And Lying Eyes Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it's about murder, kids. "Watching someone stop breathing. Feel the arms and palms releasing." how can you even twist that enough to make it about sex? |
Underoath – A Boy Brushed Red ... Living In Black And White Lyrics | 18 years ago |
about the labels, solid state is owned by tooth and nail. haha...it's all good. |
Operation Ivy – Knowledge Lyrics | 18 years ago |
the aquabats' cover of this song is amazing! |
The Aquabats – Captain Hampton & The Midget Pirates Lyrics | 18 years ago |
um...yeah...I agree with the shallow kids who say that they're silly. there aren't any deeper meanings in their songs...they're just good clean fun... "(chorus) La la la la la la la, la la la la la la. La la la la la la la, la la la la la la. La la la la la la la, la la la la la la. La la la la la la la, la la la la la la." there ya go. |
Supertones – Escape From Reason Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"Bumper sticker doctrine and cute catch phrases" haha...this song is about how most churches and believers these days try to sugercoat the gospel, so we don't offend anyone, and so it sounds good. so true. great song! |
