this song reminds me of the smurfs. At times, papa smurf can be domineering and a hierachy nazi, and hated by many other characters (like gargamel). however, without papa smurf, the smurf village will be in total calamity. without a ruler, the smurfs will riot against their communist nation, demanding to be an individual country without the support of the british goverment (the english army). in conclusion, you should be nice to papa smurf. One must not strike down papa smurf, as that would surcome to the end of the smurf population. |

I disagree with majortom6669. The song was obviously based on the movie shrek, where ground control represented shrek, and major tom represented shrek. "Can You Hear Me Major Tom" emphasises the fact that shrek is beginning to lose his hearing "maybe cause he has such tiny ears...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
