This song is brilliant. Simply brilliant. It instantly became one of my all time favorite songs. X&Y really dissapointed me. I hated the lyrics, they were elemenary for coldplay, the songs were quiet and simple. This is so complex. I am LOVING the guitar in there, it's EDGY while still being classic coldplay, with the piano chords and of course, his amazing, unique voice. The lyrics in all that I've heard from this album surpass possibly all of coldplay's lyrics before. They are different. They mean more. Of course, though, I like witty political music. You can listen to this, and listen to it as a political song (which I strongly beleive it is) or, listen to it just for the pleasure. It's to the point enough that those to the left can use it as a rally call; it's moderate enough that even those farthest to the right can still listen to it as a love song. |

And you aint' gotta know the ALPHABET TO SEE" it makes so much more sense and it's catchy and smart just like the rest of his lyrics, and it's what he's saying. A classic coldplay song... soft start, building up to a crashing ending, that simmers down again right before the track ends completley. I love this song, I'm not even going to go into it. I will say I was sad when they didnt play it at the concert I went to, but ah well. Pure and simple, it's about love, and everything that comes with it... |
