The video for this song creeps me out. It makes the song's on the surface appeal for communication ring hollow, like the insincere "I'll call you" you'd give to a person you never intend to call, but you say it to be polite or maybe to quickly end the interaction. The dudes steal something from the robot (maybe his translation/communication knob? on/off switch?) then leave making call me gestures. The band tries to leave the robot behind but the big guy won't let them go; he follows then eats them. The video makes me think the song is about trying to leave a relationship in the past, but one party won't quit. He's doggedly after that someone to talk to him even though that someone doesn't want to.
