The line 'More subtle than something someone contrives'... to me, reminds me of once when my dad was saying about a model in a magazine and how the picture couldn't have been airbrushed because of the subtle lines, etc. So in the song I think it means that the way she moves is more subtly perfect than anything that anyone could imagine themselves. |

Kirsty - it could well be 'you caught me', both versions make sense. I really do think it's about OCD though, and having OCD myself I have often thought my bf would be better off with without me, so you do have a valid point :) |

I thought it was about OCD too - pushing buttons, counting, switching lights on and off - typical OCD behaviours. Awesome song. |

Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like he's at home and his girlfriend/wife has gone away to work (e.g. in the Army) hence the money comment - there's no point in the money she earns because she's never home to spend it with him. Just my thoughts. Love this song :) |

It always sounded to me like talking to someone with anorexia: You say that you're in control - in control of the disorder. Maybe today you should try - try to start eating again. Look past the mirror and find... that there's something inside, something more to your life - something more than how they look (hence the mirror reference) My words won't heal It is you who decides - ultimately it is their decision to give up anorexia Maybe, maybe not, it's just what I always took it as. |

| Pretty much the same as everyone else, sounds like the guy is in love with her, and he's weak without her, but if she says yes to him (Say it for me, say it to me) then he'll be strong (Show me what it’s like, to be the last one standing). He wants to commit suicide (I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth storey) but he won't if she comes to him (Oh, I scream for you, come please, I'm callin'). Also I think he might be saying he needs her to be happy (and calm?) - (Well I’m terrified of these four walls, these iron bars can’t hold my soul in, all I need is you) | |

| At first I thought it was that the guy loves the girl, but they're not together, he's making her wait - 'Who was I to make you wait'. But then the being away bit doesn't make sense, so maybe it's that the guy is away, and CAN go back to her, but didn't - he made her wait, even though he still loved her. Maybe. | |
