i know the general meaning of the song is self explanatory, but was wondering what people think the first verse means when he refers to "you". as i see it, it can be taken that the person told him "you" plural, as in this is just what you do. the other way it can be looked at is that "someone" who was talking to him saw his ex "looking as if their going somewhere" and the singer is singing it to his ex, referring to her as "you" thoughts? |

| Peter Salett – Heart Of Mine Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song is pretty much about a guy who's always been afraid to "give his heart away", or say things like "i love you" because he doesn't like to be vulnerable, and he doesn't want it to go to waste, doesn't want to give his heart away if it's not going to last (maybe he doesn't want to get hurt)... but then he finds this girl who he likes, and he doesn't really care any more whether it's going to last or not, because he's fine with just feeling that little bit of happiness | |
| The Rembrandts – I'll Be There For You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| D.O.A. either means 'Dead on Arrival' (hospital/medical term), or 'Dead or Alive', but I'm rpetty sure it's the first one, because 'Dead or Alive' doesn't really have much meaning in this context...so yeah... your lovelife is dead on arrival. | |

| in response to cheetos, i reckon the last word could either be "say", because in one of the previous verses, he says that line, and then after that at the end, he says i want something else...or it also sounds like it could be "stop",... just because he wants it all to stop? just make it up...doesn't matter! | |

i was one of those people singing along, not knowing what the song means, until a few days ago, when i had to look it up. my fav. lines are "the four right chords can make me cry...when i'm with you i feel like i could die and that would be alright...alright", and also "those little red panties they pass the test" this song is basically about the drugs, as you've all figured it out by now... but it's also a song that everyone can relate to, because it's about missing/wanting things that you've left behind, and reaching out for things in the future that you will never get... and everyone's felt that before. also the first verse is sort of like it's the drug talking about her, it's from the drug's perspective. the relationship in this song is between the girl and guy who both are doing crystal meth, and they kind of make each other take it, without meaning to. they both want to get rid of it, but because their relationship was based on the drugs, they can't be in the relationship and let go of the drugs. |

no way!! this isn't about sex! well, it is sort of, but not sex in particular. it is about the two of them in a rocky relationship. When they are having a fight, he hates her, "she's wrong, she's hot, he's cold, they figure it out and then she changes her mind". But when they are having a good time in their relationship, he's "so in love with her"; that's every other time, every time that they are not fighting. and i looooooooooove boy bands. my fav. |
