a change of pace is such an amazing band and they deserve to be so much more popular and listened to than they are at the moment...i can see them going veeeery far and growing an extreme fanbase.. i listened to this song this afternoon right after talking to a guy i decided i didnt want to be friends with anymore because we had a pointless relationship...then all of a sudden i hear "a tragic ending, a farewell to a friendship that meant nothing at all" and then i realized that our friendship hadnt meant anything and it felt really good to kind of have that justified |

i skimmed through some of the thoughts on the song and it seems everyone/most people think its just a guy and girl who have instant chemistry i think its much deeper than that...i think its a guy and a girl who meet at a party and its love at first sight....they spend the entire night talking but he has to leave in the morning (for a job? college? idk somewhere out of state and he cant come back...perhaps tour?) they realize during the night that they are soul mates who absolutely cannot be together at least not today seperated soulmates are pretty much the saddest thing on the planet...its the worst feeling you can ever experience knowing you cant be with your soulmate i also think maybe this song was written when the writer was a lot longer...it seems kind of kid-like...for those of you who have seen the butterfly effect it seems like when whatsisname leaves kaylie behind even though theyre supposed to be together |
