I think he is talking about Marilyn Manson. Thats just a guess though. Beacuse a long time ago I read in an intreview with Manson that Maynard aproached him when Manson was touring with NIN and one of the things that i can remember that he told him was not to think about himself anymore than a rock star with a message. Because if he starts thinking of himself as a messanger or a prophet type person (i dont remember the words he used) he will be just as bad as the priests and religon pushers. and he wont really be an artist. (Something along those lines wording was a little diffrent but thats the idea.) This was when Manson was just starting to get big. Im probably way off though. |
