| P.O.D. – Follow Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Love this song. My fave on The Fundamental Elements of Southtown. I can't believe no one has commented to it! Dunno what its about, don't care really. I love the music being played, drums, bass and guitar is all great! But its prob about sinners or something. I'm not a fan of POD for their christain meanings, more for their great music. Rock on POD! |

| Another fast intro drum roll by Wuv like in Hollywood... maybe a little to fast. Technical, but maybe something a little slower and simpler may have played the part better. | |

c'mon, somebody with good lyric interpretation needs to write about this great song... Something about workers in a big global firm that doesn't care about anything except their profit? |

I have noticed that lol. This is my current fave P.O.D. song. To whoever replied in this thread that P.O.D. sucks, shut the fuck up!!! POD were at their best in The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown and Satellite! Go and post your shit under songs which actually aren't good! blythefreak85 is pretty correct in his interpritation of this song. I prefer live versions of this song... I find the sorta 'transparent' bit in the recorded version a bit annoying. I prefer the live un-edited version. Also, Sonny's vvoice copes very well with this song live... the notes don't go to high for him like in a few other songs. |

| Good instrumental. It's sooooo much better live tho. Good bass part. If only Sonny would shut up and stop talking thru the live version I've got off a bootleg CD. | |

Geez, Most of these lyrics are wrong! schmeh, here are3 the ones from the WOlfmother booklet: Have you been to the carnival I would like to see you There's ma whole lot of people there Who would like to be you With the white unicorn across her shoulder Made you think that she might have been Someone who's older And I know it's on your mind We've been drinking on the whine That we drank from the serpents vine Now we live in another time We could live together She lives on the border line That they call hazy And the tent that she lives in Has the name of her lover And I know it's on your mind We've been drinking on the whine That we drank from the serpents vine Now we live in another time Sister can you tell me when the days turn to night She left without a word and wondered inside How many days must I still wonder why And see her face in every passer by We could live together And I know it's on your mind We've been drinking on the whine That we drank from the serpents vine Now we live in another time We could live together |

| The Whitlams – Blow Up The Pokies Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Quoting Tim from the DVD: "The music was written by Gretta Gertler and I wrote the words. I don't usually just write words to a pre-existing piece of music.I loved the tune so I tried to tell this story. It was sort of inspired by Andy, who was in the band at the start. He was the double bass player for the first three albums and he had a bad gambling problem. He'd already left the band when I wrote this song and tragicly about 6 months after the album came out, Andry committed suicide, after putting all his wages in a poker machine after working hard one week in Sydney." For those really into it, an 11 piece string section was used for the album recording. Love this song. One of the best on "Love This City"!! |

| The Whitlams – Chunky Chunky Air Guitar Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Quotes from The Whitlams DVD: "This is a song written by the Machine Gun Fellatio boys and I liked it. I just misheard the lyric. What they originally said was 'chonky chonky rip it up now', it was just nonsense really. I thought I'd keep air guitar in it and it might plug in to some sort of common Australian memory but it failed, so the best thing about this affair i think, is the humerous video clip" |

| Noiseworks – R.I.P (Millie) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I agree with your comments, but I personally find your additional last line offensive. This was written by Jon Stevens, lead singer of Noiseworks, about the passing of his mother. This song is absolutely amazing, as are many other songs on the Touch album by Noiseworks, as well as other albums. A great 80s Aussie rock band, highly recomended to anyone who likes 80s rock.. Rest In Peace Millie, thanksyou to Jon Stevens and Noiseworks for such an amazing, emotional song. Regards, Ben Ogle |
