i remember reading somewhere that this song was inspired when a friend of the band went through a divorce, and his wife left him. i can't wait for this to be released as a single! |

this song is unreleased...although, like most of hanson's unreleased music, it's been leaked on line. reading the lyrics shows you it's an incredible song, but to HEAR it is a whole other story...i honestly feel that this is hanson's best song to date. the lyrics are beautifully done, taylor's singing is powerful, and the music itself is well put together. not a flaw in the song, although i have the feeling the only version of the song that is out is the demo...oh, what they could do if they made a studio version! |

i just looked up the lyrics to the song "Pink Moonlight"...that song just threw a whole new light onto this song. "Pink Moonlight" seems to be about depression, death, suicide... now think about the line, "We'll make it by in the pink moonlight"... we'll make it by with our music even though bad things are happening we'll make it by with our fans even though bad things are happening we'll make it by with our favorite band even though bad things are happening i think Hanson knew exactly what they were doing when they put the reference to Pink Moonlight in there. |

faithful_sparkle, i'm with you on this one. the whole song is full of metaphors for living life and taking risks. apparently, in a recent h.net chat, zac said this song was about believing in god...still on the same track as what i thought the song was about already, but i like my interpretation better. |

| Hanson – Every Word I Say Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i believe that the song is about a relationship with a girl, and how that relationship makes him happy and sets him free...however, i recently read somewhere that this was supposed to be a song about god. whatever, i still hear it as a song about girl. :) | |

i think this song has something to do with reincarnation...maybe not literally, but it's definitely referred to in the song. for instance, "I was first-born to a parade that follows in rows down a narrow cold black river faceless shadows movin' slow" i *think* he's talking about ants here...could be something else though. "I would move swift when the sounds of a trumpet would blow" horse... "Now I'm 10 miles in the deep and mighty blue sea Looking back, towards a long white beach burnin' up into yellow flames" soldier in a war...*possibly* vietnam or one of the World Wars, as he speaks of a beach... i don't think he means for the references to reincarnation to be taken literally, so i think the song is basically about life, the experiences you have, and living life to the fullest... |
