I think people are in denial over what genocide is: it is killing large numbers of people of a certain race, ethnicity, religion etc. There is such a thing as the Armenian genocide. its like saying there wasnt a native american genocide. Or the mass killing of african slaves onthe boats and on land. Damn people, have some freaking compassion for others and stop being so closed minded. Just cause your history books dont label something as genocide, doesnt mean it doenst exist. |

I am not literally saying that buying bottled water causes people to die, but i am commenting on the luxuries that we have that we take for granted and about the fact that others are dying just trying to get nourished. And we dont have to buy luxuries to make an economy work, what you are thinking about is capitalism. |

this song is great, and as for Darons vocals, i think he is a good compliment to serjs deeper voice. I think that Serj has a more unique voice while Daron's voice is not that special, but they are good together |

I read in a SOAD website that this song is about the mountains that seperate armenia from turkey and the people that have died over them.
The lyrics are basically describing how the war was started over "someone's blank stare" -meaning that the war was over something as stupid as a look. The line where it says " Someone's mouth said paint them all red"- is about by a person ordering death to all that lived in the mountains in order to take them over. Hence the Armenian Genocide |

But, yeah.... I think this song is about the war and how we attack everyone that even "hints" that they have something thtreatning. "we dream of the day we attack" means we are basically just planning wars. Somehow some of the rednecks of this country feel that there is sincerity and security in "steel machines" like guns, bombs, tanks....etc. But in reality, its all bullshit. We are just digging ourselves into a hole and the reality of "Attack" is that villages are destroyed, people are killed, and lands are polluted. And after we pillage their lands, we hang our flags to prove that we have been their and claim it as ours. Just sad. |

I think this new album is differnt yet the same as all the others, its different in that it incorporates more melodic songs, like Stealing society, and kill rock and roll, yet it still has the crazy songs that we all love, like viscinityof obsenity. |

For the line about we are a society of Bottled water, Causing poor populations to die, to die, to die, it means that while we are drinking clean, pure evian, we are doing it at the cost of millions of others dying because they cannot get clean water and get nourished. Also the verse that is : She lost her mind

When they called and said that they thought he was dead" Is about a mother, wife, sister, etc. going crazy after finding out that her son, husband has died. She dreamt of screaming, or doing something about it, but she couldn't because she is not being heard. Maybe because she is oppressed and "pushed to the back of the line", meaning she is not important so they keep telling her they will help her, yet she keeps being put behind. The US does this to alot of people in other countries, and even right here, they promise something, but when its time to deliver, they leave you for last. |

I think The "first born unicorn" "hardcore soft porn" line means that there is a thin line between reality (porn) and fantasy (unicorn) and that sometimes people do not see the difference and expect California to be some magical place, but when they get there, they realize that it has its bad side. Also, the "first born unicorn" line can mean that someone creative can come and be something in California, and someone that wants to be a porn star, can also be something. Basically, Creativity, Fantasy, and Realism are spoken about in this song. And how people of all types can have access to it. |
