| I agree with Brandon53. No matter what mistakes we make in life, mistakes are part of life. We have to forgive ourselves and see the beauty we all have inside if we only let ourself believe it. Instead of hanging on to how we messed up, continuely blaming ourselves and thinking that the mistakes we make define us as terrible people. Let it go. If we don't, we carry the pain of our error and will be miserable. And there is no reason for that misery. We do not know everything, we are learning and mistakes are how we learn. We were all born innocent and to make mistakes. We are all still innocent and still making mistakes. | |

I think it's about trying to help someone through depression caused by an traumatic event. He (she) who is depressed refuses or can't let whatever happened go. Instead he hangs on to the past, sadness and trauma, not letting anyone help convince him that he deserves so much more then living life in sadness. But he keeps pushing people away. Nothing is good enough to make him happy. He just comes up with reasons why nothing is good enough, nobody is good to him. And the reasons always circle back to the same thing: the past. But the truth is he won't let people be good to him. Doesn't see that people ARE good to him and have been trying to be good to him. And that right there is exactly the reason why nothing is good enough. So don't tell me and others that we didn't try. If you'd just let me try, I will be good to you. It's basically about the inability to let yourself be happy and instead blame others for your unhappiness. |
