I used to be very heavy into drugs, and this song is what my life used to be.....so many nights on so many rooftops (and in the woods, pools, back yards etc) living it up. Just going totally nuts, blowing lines like a rockstar...I realized I numbered my days...But at least, as they say, I lived with passion. And that, friends, is what this song means to me.

I love this song so much, and it touches me deeply because in a couple months I'm going to have to leave the house I've lived in for 13 years and the town I've lived in my entire life and move 2000 miles away. Hearing this just makes me want to slow down and enjoy the last little bit of time I have in the place I grew up. I wish I could hug home.

I think the song's about this guy selling dope and he's so into it that he may as well just continue even though eventually he's gonna get caught. That's why he says "it just don't matter"...Like, Johnny Butt is getting cocky and thinks he owns the streets, so it's inevitable that he's going to be busted. I can't organize my thoughts but I know what I'm trying to say.

I'd rather not look too deeply into the meaning of this song...I checked out the link xCunt posted and I got less than halfway through and had to shut the window because I was so repulsed. Whoever wrote that should talk to someone, because that's fucking terrible. Anyways, no matter what the meaning behind it is, the sound of this song is mesmerizing, and I really dig the way his low voice contrasts with the high music.

First, there's obviously a connection to Fear and Loathing. Anyone who's ever read the book or seen the movie could tell you that, just like anyone who's ever tried acid can tell you that this song is (even if unintentionally) is sort of a description of a trip. To all the people who are just so upset that Avenged Sevenfold ended up on MTV and all, get over it. Is it really that difficult to understand that the bands you like don't belong to you and you have no say in what they do with their lives? If they want to sell out and be rich, you can't blame them because you would do the same.

Even though people hate to hear it, I still hear references to coke every time I listen to this song. It makes me think of going out and partying hard all weekend, then having to deal with the aftermath but doing it anyways. And I disagree that it's like boomers, they make you feel like you're sinking, not energetic. Acid, maybe.

I think this song is about tripping. How a lot of people get really quiet when they start to feel it (in the morning) and everything becomes "obstacles that terrorize my view" and so on and so forth. In any case it's a delicious song.
