I read that thin man was the name of one of the bombs that dropped on Japan and that maby this song is about all the weird things that would happen when an atomic bomb is dropped and like everyone else ( Mr. jones) doesn't know what is going on. First bob dylan song i ever heard (when i was 12) have been hooked ever sense. Cannot get enough of bob dylan. Won't to learn about this songs fans watch No Direction Home

i've heard that Dylan was at an acid party when Anthony Quinn complained about the noise. Quinn had just played a mighty Eskimo on a not so good movie and Dylan wrote this song to insult him. the other meanings may be right but i beleive it started with this. |
