I don't know if anyone else has said this or not, because I am not going through all these comments, but here's what I think. In the song he says "spilled her purse AND her bag" which I think is a bag of drugs. So therefore, she held a "purse of a different kind" which could mean the constable's balls, so that she wouldn't get arressted. So maybe she did all that, and as the extra lyrics in the booklet refer to, she still gets arrested. Then the song goes into "There are no...Raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses" which could mean that all her purity is now all gone and all she has left are the sleazy hotels and the "roaches" (the men she sleeps with), and everything she ever hated. I don't know though. Great song. |
