Privileged to be one of the first to comment on this ;) To me sounds like she talks about a player trying to mess with her heart but she puts him back to his place as she knows his game / weakness |

"Oooh, that’s right Let’s take a breath, jump over the side Oooh, that’s right How can you know it if you don’t even try Oooh, that’s right" My perspective here is that he's not talking to a different person, but still to himself, opposing all the blank statements he said before (also explaining the sudden change in the music style and intensity) and says that at least he should try to make a brave move. At the end of the day, how can you know you'll fail if you don't even try?? The next verse, which talks about how even a small step can radically change the outcome but that's the risk you must take, complements the above. |

This is my personal favourite romantic song that I listen to whenever I feel in love for someone. The music is absolutely gorgeous and original. The instruments used add to the romantic effect, and it perfectly matches the tone of the movie in which it’s used as part of the soundtrack. Following is my own humble perspective of the lyrics... ”The stranger sang a theme, From someone else's dream” Must be referring to those occasions where you happen to meet a person who expresses exactly your beliefs, hopes, dreams. Love at first sight. “The leaves began to fall And no one spoke at all But I can't seem to recall When you came along” Suddenly as soon as your heart starts beating for that person, you start noticing subtle, romantic things such as falling leaves. This boy was such an unexpected entrance in her life she can’t even recall when he came along. “Just don't know what to do” Exactly how you feel whenever you fall in love with someone. You don’t know what to do to get your heart at peace. “The tree-lined avenue Begins to fade from view Drowning past regrets In tea and cigarettes But I can't seem to forget When you came along” When in love, other things such as regrets about what happened in the past as well as typical everyday routines, become so unimportant, that they seem as if fading into the background. Now she starts obsessing about him that she can’t forget that first time he met him and fell in love. |
