i'm thinking it might be a mixture of a few drugs? "Technicolor" is a referral to ecstacy, and a side effect of the "coming down" stage of ecstacy is depression. but then the "slow roll, quick drags" would usually have something to do with weed, and "i'm gonna wrap my head in plastic" could have something to do with trouble breathing, but i don't know what drugs that could be a side effect of i think the narrator is getting help from a friend (who "always knows just what to do"), the friend drives him home, etc. but then it sounds like the narrator is saying he wants to die so he'll "blow his mind" and then he says "i'm going to die anyway, so who cares what speed you're going?" i think the narrator overdosed on something and knows it, and he thinks he's going to die, or he wants to kill himself as a side effect of the drug, then breathes and "chokes and pushes it back up" and decides he's never going to do it again ("first and last taste of the technicolor") the "why are you alone?" part confuses me |
