| Manic Street Preachers – This Joke Sport Severed Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love the disgust with which JDB spits out the first 'rejection'. Lot of feeling in this one. God this album grows on me more and more with each listening. | |
| Manic Street Preachers – 4st 7lb Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I'm not down with musical jargon, but the little guitar bit on and around the lines "Yeh 4st. 7, an epilogue of youth Such beautiful dignity in self-abuse" breaks my heart every time. |

| The Beautiful South – You Keep It All In Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think the abuse might be simply figurative, not physical. The 'keeping it all in' is about not really opening up to your other half, not letting them in, not talking to them about anything other than the everyday and mundane. Or receiving verbal abuse from your partner, how it's described both times as a 'conversation'. I don't know...every time I look back at these lyrics my opinion changes... |

The line in the middle section is actually "Let your heart go floating out but use the anchor twice" Which makes a lot more sense, non? I love that line, well, I love the whole song and the allusions to the sea. Really gets your imagination going. |

| Stefy – Chelsea Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Personally I'd never leave my boyfriend 'alone' with anyone called Chelsea. The only reeason you poor people know all the lyrics already is because theres two verses, a chorus and a two line bridge. It's a very basic song. Which is why I don't think I really need to explain what its lyrics mean to me. Can't wait till they stop playing this on the radio. |

| AC/DC – The Jack Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
In the live version he actually says 'Any virgins in glasgow', as that was where it was recorded, at the Apollo theatre. The live version is, and always will be, the best. Bo Scott had such stage presence. |

| Eurythmics – 17 Again Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
How is there no comment on this song? I think its about feeling young and vulnerable, having choices to make and wanting to just go for it. Also there is that central verse which is clearly a dig at life in the media. 'All those fake celebrities And all those viscous queens All the stupid papers And the stupid magazines' Annie sings it so well, and I love the reference back to one of their greatest hits - 'sweet dreams are made of anything that gets you in the scene' which is another dig at the fakeness of celebrity. Anyway, thats my ten cents. |

| Queen Adreena – Pretty Like Drugs Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| What about this?....The world is fascinated with anything these days, reality tv shows such as big brother have shown us this. Maybe the song is about how the world has become cruel through their voyeurism, 'the world is watching the death of a girl'. We are watchi8ng peoples downfall, the song is maybe asking us to take a look at how sick we've become? | |
| The Prodigy – Hotride Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Indeed. It has such a lot of energy, you just HAVE to jump up and dance. | |
| Rammstein – Du Hast Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Don't you just hate that whole 'I r cleverer than thou argument'...... Its a very good song, great to dance to or mosh to or have sex to ;) and rammsteins double meanings give it great depth. You all need to take yourselves a great deal less seriously. Also, German is a much easier language to leanr than French, so I'm happy. |

| Will Young – All Time Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I just dont believe this song only has one comment. Its one of the most tender, beautiful songs I've ever heard, and its by Will Young? Strange feeling, but yeah, its amazing, and proves he has an amazing singing voice. He's set out in this song exactly what everyone is REALLY looking for too. Beautiful, as I said. |

| Tori Amos – Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I believe this version way outpasses the Nirvana version simply because Tori has managed to actually convey the original meanings in the words. I love the way everyone is flipping out, blatantly because they are Nirvana lovers and don't want to admit that someone did better than Kurt. I agree with nightowl3, it sends shivers down my spine. |
