i feel that regina is speaking of this love she had with a man. she compares her love with the great {and tragic} love story of samson & delilah. their relationship follows the same story line and to her it holds the same significance. yet in the grand scheme of things its insignificant for they were forgotten by the history books and the bible. and i dont think it's "they're just soft light" i thought it sounded more like "they're just dull light" which would fit in later w/ the song. |
