| Also, "the house of spirits call" sounds like the Hall of Mandos, where the spirit of Men continue past. And "soon my spirit will return" refers to the spirit of the Eldar being bound to the world, unlike mens spirit which move on. | |

"The Brave New World CD is written all about the book with the same title by Aldous Huxley." You sure "Out of the Silent Planet" isn't about.."Out of the Silent Planet"? "The Wicker Man" about "The Wicker Man"? etc |

"I left ruin behind me when I returned But I also carried ruin with me She, the mistress of her own lust " The ruin he left behind is the destruction of the two trees, and the ruin he carried with him was Ungoliant. "She the mistress of her own lust" is almost a direct quotation from the Silmarillion. |

Gah. Odysseus is greek. Ulysseys is latin. The story of The Odyssey is Odysseus' trip home after fighting in Troy. He angers Poseidon after blinding his son, the cyclops Polyphemus. Poseidon then prevents him from getting home for a long time. His main crew is lost to the Laestragonians(butchered that) who are giant cannibals. They wreck all but Odysseus himself's ship. After the cyclops, they go to various islands, including Circe who turns his men into pigs, and they stay with her for a year. He has to speak with people in Hades, avoid the whirlpool Charybdis and the 6headed monster scylla, and the sirens. However, he loses the remaining crew members after they anger the gods by killing the cattle of the sun. Odysseus himself is the only survivor, and spends 7 years with the nymph calypso. After Athena intervenes to the Gods while Poseidon is away, he ends up at the Phaeician kings court, tells his story, and they take him to Ithaca. he pretends to be a begger, stuff happens, he kills the suitors etc. The whole story is basically Odysseus being witty but prideful, and Athena intervening often to help him. |

It has the same title as the book and the lyrics make PERFECT sense. "Actually, every song of the Brave New World CD was written from the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley." false btw. |

"brilliant song...excellent voice, excellent lyrics excellent instrumental. the first and the last words are the ones which move me the most. this is totally an anti war song because it says that not even the sound of guns can hide the shame of those who started the war. another song from the "war sucks" collection :)" This isn't from the war sucks collection. IM isn't anti-war. It's just a song about a battle. Even if they are anti-war, this song certainly isn't. |

I can kinda see a way for it to be about NA's too. Not saying it is, but still. "They can and they will skin us all one day..." skinning was popular during that time. "As far as the man can run from us we're following the trail of blood" Trail of tears/blood from being forced west. "Are you ready to walk the forbidden road Learn again what we tried to forget The dark can now take over you" Trying to forget how they were treated. " Preying for the moon, Hiding for the day These might be our last times I ain't gonna see you taken away..." Trying to hide as to not being taken into slavery. |

| Sonata Arctica – 8th Commandment Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor is most definately the commandment against lying. And which religions switched the commandments? I'm sure Jewish and Christians have the same, along with muslims. | |
