This is like my favorite song by The Bravery. I just got into them about a month ago, because itunes reccommended them to me. I think it's becuase I love The Killers. I was somewhat dissapointed in The Killers second album and when I heard The Bravery, I felt like The Killers' 2nd album should have been like The Bravery's 2nd album. So, whenever I get homesick for The Killers, instead of listening to them, I listen to The Bravery. Although I do find Brandon more attractive than Sam. But as for this song, I just thought it was about some girl that he really likes because she's the only one who understands him. He can't get anything past her and I guess he's not normally an open book, but this girl can read even the finest of his print. I Didn't really think there was a problem in the realtionship, but whatever. It's still my favorite Bravery song! |

Great song it's ashame that no ones listens and/or comments on Kara's Flowers songs. Must be because they aren't known as well as Maroon 5. Also because they were drowned out by the pop era. They just lived in a different time. As for this song, I have no clue what it means. |

I don't think Brandon is gay, but saying that he has a wife doesn't make him exactly straight. Plenty of men are gay with wives(which is explained somewhat in this song), so you can't really use that "wife" excuse. I just think that he likes to write about gay men and weird things. That doesn't make him gay or bi. And should we really be worrying about his sexual preferences? |

This song was one of my most played songs on my ipod.(The most played is Midnight Show) I wish they would re record this song but its doubtful that they will. The quality I have sounds like they're in a basement, but it sounds better when I set the EQ to spoken word. I'm thinking that the whole waiting for love thing could refer to waiting to make love. It's obviously better if you take things slow and he mentions that it will be worth it if they wait. But then again The Killers' songs aren't usually that straight forward. |

I think it might be about someone who lived a troubled life and now that things finally gotten better, they want to help other people out of a bad life. "I just want to show you what I know and catch you when the current lets you go." This could mean that the person wants to use their past experience to save others and that they will be there when "you" get free from the crazy things in life. And maybe it's hard to change people so this person contemplates giving up on mankind. Possibly, one person cannot change the world. And who doesn't love that "shake a little" part?! |
