this is a great song, great chord progression and a nice harmony during the chorus
it sounds like hes doing the doo doo doos for the bass part but that a bass is also playing along. Sounds like a combo of both. |

Why so little comments on this song ? Rain is a great song , probably the best beatles song. The lyrics and music are amazing. Combine this with Paperback Writer, Revolver, Day Tripper, We Can Work It Out and Rubber Soul and you have the Beatles at their most creative years. |

the middle eight sounds like the george harrison song My Sweet Lord when they chant halleluja , harry krishna (sp?) etc. It's a beautiful song though. and the girl whispering is May Pang, not yoko. Though she is shown chanting it in the video. I read this in the Anthology Book. |
