| This is one of my favorite hip songs. Gordie talked abut this song on the world album premier on the edge 102 and said the band wrote this after he had received a phone call that his Grandmother was in poor health. He said he got a call and came down stairs and the song just came out. Looking at it this way the song takes on a whole new meaning. I think the first two posts do a great job looking at the song but I have a different take on the end and Gord saying hello. I was with my Grandma when she died and I feel from my own experience that perhaps Gord is saying you’re not alone and I will be there you have done so much for me or the family and I will not let you go out alone so he is says hello when others can not handle being there for a person at the end. | |
