To me, this song has a Romeo and Juliet feel. Two people that have each other in secrecy and is forbidden. I will try to explain better. Romeo - "You know my name. You know my face. You'd know my heart. If you knew my place. I'll walk straight down. As far as I can go." Juliet - "You know my head. You know my pains. You'd know my heart. If you knew your place. I'll walk straight down. As far as I can go." Romeo realizes that if he is to continue seeing Juliet that they would have to leave. So he asks her what she wants to do.. "Enlighten me. Reveal my fate. Just cut these strings that hold me safe." That's what I think. |

| I really enjoyed this song. It just makes me feel ready to go. I know most of you have the correct lyrics, but to me instead of saying "but I cut your line" it sounds, and makes more sense, that he says "but I caught your lie". That would generate the anger that he later has towards the firefly(person). | |
