to me, when tiny vessels flows into transatlanticism, its like the two opposite ends of the spectrum. an experience you wish wouldnt have happened with someone who means nothing to you, and in turn, a song about the one you love. just such simple lyrics written in such a storytelling mode, as his lyrics often tend to be. and at the end. "i need you so much closer." so easy and so direct. it says so much more than it could ever try to say. ben gibbard never ceases to amaze me. theres something about his voice, it just becomes a part of me when i listen to death cab. you can feel it and relate, and you can do that with a lot of music, but ive never experienced anyone who can bring me into their world like ben gibbard can. this is one of my favorite songs. |

| this song is the perfect release.. because we all have these moments. you make this epic mistake that in reality isnt very epic at all. but its about such an experience.. with someone that doesnt mean that much to you at all.. when all you can think about is how you wish the one lying next to you is the one you cant stop thinking about. | |
