The Walkmen – Little House of Savages Lyrics 19 years ago
actually, the lyric should read - "i know that it's late but i don't wanna go", opposed to "And noone is waiting for the girl, wanna go". It makes alot more sense to the meaning of the song. It's about a guy cheating and he doesn't wanna leave cause he knows he'll have to face his girlfriend.

Death Cab for Cutie – Blacking Out the Friction Lyrics 20 years ago
I think that this song is about running away from your problems instead of sticking them out, and how it's brainless to do so.

'I don't mind the weather, I've got scraves and caps and sweaters' represents the problem at hands, and how he put up with them and goes out and faces them with the support of his friends (scraves, sweaters ect.)

'I think that it's brainless to assume that making changes to your window's view will give a new perspective' & 'the hardest part is yet to come, when you will cross the country alone' is about the opposite, if you refuse to face them and run away from your problems without the support of your friends then it shall be een harder in the end, as you will be alone without your friends to help you through it.

This is definately my favourite DCFC song, great music and lyrics. Paired with 'Brand New Love' on The John Byrd EP makes it even better.
