I totally am addicted to this song. In my opinion, the best song on the CD. I believe it is about a man, looking for his own place in the world, with people around him telling him he can't do this or that...he's looking for his true self. He goes through things that lead him towards what he is looking for, but along the way, he runs into obstacles that he must overcome. Also, I believe that the lines "You're going to have to carve me from stone, Right to the bone or I'll end up alone" means that he needs to find a person out there who'll help him find that true self, because he can't do it alone... That's what I get out of it. |
